Short Biography

Danijela Čabrić received the Dipl. Ing. degree from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, in 1998, and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2001. She received her Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2007, where she was a member of the Berkeley Wireless Research Center. In 2008, she joined the faculty of the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of California, Los Angeles as an Assistant Professor. Her key contributions involve the novel radio architecture, signal processing, and networking techniques to implement spectrum sensing functionality in cognitive radios. She was awarded Samueli Fellowship in 2008, Okawa Foundation research grant in 2009, NSF CAREER award in 2012 and Hellman fellowship in 2012. She currently serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications and IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing.
